CINNAMON STARS 
3 egg whites
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/3 c. chopped unblanched almonds
Grated rind of 1/2 lemon
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar sifted with 1/4 c. flour

FROSTING:

1/4 c. boiling water
Confectioners' sugar to make a thick spread
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat to a stiff froth 3 egg whites. Mix the 1 cup granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, almonds and lemon rind. Fold into the egg whites. Put a sheet of wax paper on a board. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar and flour. put dough on it and cover with another sheet of wax paper. Roll out 1/4 inch thick shape with a star cutter. Put on cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes. Spread with confectioners' frosting.
