GOLD STAR SUPPER DISH 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. cream of mushroom soup
1 c. (3 oz.) sliced mushrooms
1 c. milk
1 (2 oz.) jar stuffed olives, drain and chop
1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

FOR TOP:

1 c. chow mein noodles
1/2 c. cashews or almonds

Cook noodles; drain. Brown meat with onion. Mix soup and milk together; add to browned meat. Add remaining ingredients and noodles. Put in baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Add nuts and chow mein noodles on the top the last 15 minutes.
