NEVER FAIL ICE BOX ROLLS | |
2 c. sweet milk 1/2 c. shortening 2 yeast cakes 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 6 c. flour or 3 c. reg. & 3 c. wheat Heat milk. Add sugar and shortening. Take off fire and add salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Add flour gradually. Let rise until double in size. Knead down and make into rolls. Place in well greased pan. Cover and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours in warm place. Cook in moderate oven 375 degrees, about 15 minutes. |
