RICE CRISPIE COOKIE 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
2 c. Rice Crispies
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Cream shortening, adding sugars, egg, and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt, and baking powder; mix well with other ingredients. Add Rice Crispies; mix and drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy!
