1 lg. can sweet potatoes
3 eggs, well beaten
Sugar
1 pkg. cake mix, yellow or spice
1 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. butter

Grease a rectangular Pyrex baking pan, about 9 x 12 inches or larger. Mash and beat potatoes until smooth. Add beaten eggs and sweeten to taste. Pour in pan. Sprinkle 1 package of cake mix (dry) over sweet potatoes. Sprinkle pecans over this. Spoon 3/4 cup melted butter over this. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with Cool Whip if desired.
