GERMAN GREEN BEANS & CABBAGE 
3 slices bacon
1/4 c. sugar
3 c. shredded cabbage
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. vinegar
3 tbsp. chopped onion
3/4 tsp. salt
16 oz. green beans

Cut bacon into 1" pieces and cook in skillet until crisp. Remove bacon. Add vinegar, sugar, onion, cabbage, salt and pepper to fat in the skillet. Cover; simmer 5 minutes. Stir in drained beans and cook 5 minutes. Pour into serving dish and top with crisp bacon bits.
