1 stick butter 1 pkg. dates (8 oz.) Dromedary chopped 3/4 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. nuts chopped (pecans or walnuts) 2 c. Rice Crispies 1 bag coconut Melt butter in saucepan. Beat eggs with sugar. Add this mixture to butter and add the chopped dates next. Cook 10 to 15 minutes on low heat. Take off burner and add Rice Crispies, nuts and vanilla. Take a teaspoon to a tablespoon of mixture and shape into a ball. Roll in coconut. Makes 3 dozen approximately. |
