Beat the whites and yolks of 3 eggs separately and together. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and beat again. Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons baking powder and add to liquid. Last, add 1/2 cup boiling water and t teaspoon lemon.

Bake in large well greased baking pan in hot oven. Turn out on hard surface dusted with powdered sugar. Spread with any kind of jelly and roll.
