SIMPLE BREAD | |
2 1/2 c. lukewarm water 2 pkgs. yeast 1 tbsp. salt 3 tbsp. sugar 1/3 c. oil 1/2 c. powdered milk 7 1/2 c. flour Put all but 3 cups flour in large bowl and beat for 3 minutes. Add remaining flour and mix well. Let rise 1/2 to 1 hour. Punch down, knead and form into loaves. Rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees 35-40 minutes. Note: For dark bread substitute 1 tablespoon sugar for 2 tablespoons molasses and 2 cups white flour for 2 cups dark flour. |
