1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, added and beat one at a time
1 tsp. vanilla extract and dash salt
1 c. pie filling (your choice)
3 c. flour

In a large bowl, mix together butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and flour. Grease a 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Spread half of batter in pan, and spoon pie filling over the batter. Drop remaining batter over pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
