DADDY'S BARBECUE CHICKEN 
Chicken pieces for grilling
1 pt. brown vinegar
1 c. water
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. red crushed pepper (more if you like it hotter)
1 tbsp. black pepper
1/2 lb. butter

Combine all ingredients except chicken and simmer one hour. Place chicken over hot coals, but raise it to highest level so chicken starts to sear slowly. Salt chicken and baste with simmered sauce. Turn; baste. Continue basting and turning every 5 to 8 minutes until chicken pulls away from bone easily.
