ONION SOUP | |
1 can Campbell's beef bouillon 3-4 cans water 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup 2 bouillon cubes Season to taste Fry 6-8 medium onions or as many as desired until golden in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add liquid and simmer 1/2 to 1 hour. TOPPING: Slice French bread 1/2 inch thick. Put soup in oven-proof dish or individual soup bowls. Cover liquid with bread. Cover bread with cheese--enough to cover thickly. Mixture of half Swiss and half grated fresh Parmesan cheese. Bake until cheese has melted at 350 degrees. |
