CHICKEN AND PASTRY 
1 1/2 c. flour
Dash of salt
3 tbsp. shortening
7 tbsp. cold milk
5 c. chicken broth
3 c. cooked diced chicken

Cut shortening into flour and salt, then add milk. Shape into a ball of dough, then roll out thinly. Cut into 1 1/2 x 3 inch slices. Heat chicken broth to rolling boil. Drop slices into boiling broth. After the last piece is dropped, allow to cook about 6 minutes. Add diced chicken. Cover and let stand 1 hour. Rewarm gently.
