PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans strawberry pie filling
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
2 (12 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. vanilla instant pudding
2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Mix cake and bake according to directions on box (bake in oblong pan). Cool before using. Crumble 1/3 of cake in bottom of glass punch bowl.

Layer from outside edge in as follows: pudding that has been mixed according to directions and let set; pie filling, pineapple with juice, nuts, Cool Whip. Repeat layers three times. This cake will serve 30 people.
