1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can Sloppy Joe mix (I use Manwich)
shredded cheese
1 (32 oz.) bag tater tots (I use Ore Ida)

In a pan cook ground beef and chopped onions. Drain excess grease. Add 1 can Sloppy Joe mix to mixture.

In a lightly greased 9x13-inch dish arrange tater tots very loosely in bottom. Layer Sloppy Joe mixture, then shredded cheese (Velveeta is great too!) and top with remaining tater tots.

Bake according to directions on tater tot bag (make sure cheese under tots is melted!!)
