STRAWBERRY ICE 
2 qts. fresh strawberries
1 (1 half) c. sugar
1 c. water
Strained juice of 1 lemon

Wash and hull berries; add sugar, water, and lemon juice. Rub through fine sieve. Mix well; place in 2 ice cube trays. Freeze until almost firm. Remove to mixing bowl; beat until very light. Return to freezing compartment. Continue freezing until firm. Leave at room temperature 10 minutes before serving. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
