STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (15 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 c. whole milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. strawberries, washed, halved or 2 c. whole frozen strawberries, thawed

Combine 1 1/4 cup sugar and evaporated milk in medium saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Pour into large bowl and add milk and vanilla. Chill for at least 1 hour. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar over strawberries. Mash strawberries with potato masher or fork in large bowl. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes. Blend into chilled mixture. Pour mix into a 4 to 6 quart freezer can and follow manufacturer's directions.
