Clean a gallon jar. Put in clean jar in order: 4 or 5 heads of fresh dill 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (cut in half) Pack enough little cucumbers in jar to fill May want to put some larger cucumbers on top to hold down smaller ones. On top of cucumbers put another 4 or 5 heads of fresh dill and another 4 or 5 cloves garlic. Set aside and cook brine. BRINE: 6 c. water 3 c. white vinegar 6 tbsp. canning salt 6 tbsp. sugar Bring brine to boil and pour on top of cucumbers. Put lid on jar. Set outside in sunny spot for 4 to 5 days. Do not bring in at night. (If a cloudy day or rainy, leave out extra day or so.) Remember leave outside the full 4 or 5 days. Put in refrigerator when done. Keeps in refrigerator for a long time. |
