SWEET POTATO BREAD 
2 c. syrup
1 c. sugar
1 c. home ground cornmeal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
3 eggs
1 stick butter
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. grated sweet potatoes

Beat syrup, sugar, butter and eggs. Add cornmeal, flour, salt, baking powder and spices. Add grated potatoes. Use a small amount of milk if needed. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. It can be put in your freezer.
