BANANA NUT COFFEE CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. mashed bananas

Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cream shortening; add sugar and eggs. Cream until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas; mix well. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

TOPPING:

2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Combine and sprinkle on baked cake.
