CANNELLONI 
1 pkg. manicotti tubes
1 1/2-2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic juice
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. onion
1/2 tsp. basil
Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Cook manicotti tubes according to package directions. Fry ground beef just enough to be able to drain off excess grease. Saute onion. Combine above ingredients with the ground beef and onion.

Fill manicotti tubes with meat mixture. Place manicotti in buttered baking dish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top. Pour tomato sauce over tubes. Slice Mozzarella cheese 1/4-inch thick and place over sauce. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until hot and bubbly and cheese is melted.

TOMATO SAUCE FOR CANNELLONI:

2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 c. water
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
3 tbsp. snipped parsley
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. ground bay leaf
1 tsp. garlic juice

Combine all ingredients. Simmer uncovered approximately 45 minutes or to desired consistency. Stir occasionally.
