PORK CHOPS WITH A TWIST | |
6 loin or blade chops 2 tbsp. oil 1 med. onion, chopped 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. brown sugar 4 tbsp. vinegar 6 tbsp. catsup 2/3 c. raisins 1/2 c. cold water 1 tbsp. corn starch 6 c. or more Minute Rice Put oil in skillet, add pork and brown well on each side, drain off oil. In small bowl add the next 8 ingredients. Mix well, put over pork chops. Cover and SIMMER 1 hour or until pork chops are tender. Remove pork chops. In small bowl mix together cold water and cornstarch. Add to raisins mixture until it is the consistency of gravy. Put raisin mixture over rice. |
