SANTA'S WHISKERS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 tbsp. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped red or green cherries
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut

Beat butter for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour, then cherries and pecans. Shape into 3 to 7 inch rolls. Roll dough in coconut to coat. Wrap in waxed paper; chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Makes about 80.
