TEA CAKES "SUGAR COOKIES" 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add to sugar mix, alternately with milk and vanilla. Roll out on floured board, cut. Bake at 325 degrees until done. Anything (chopped nuts, etc.) can be added. Makes 100 (2 inch) cookies.
