HAPPY DAY CAKE 
2 3/4 c. sifted Swan's Down cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Mix sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, then sift together flour, salt, baking powder, adding alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Bake at 325 degrees until done for 30 to 40 minutes.

CRISCO ICING:

2 lbs. confectioners' sugar, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco

Mix well, then add 1/2 cup boiling water.

1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Mix until fluffy.
