BROCCOLI WITH GARLIC AND
PARMESAN
 
1 c. water
2 cloves garlic, split
1 1/2 lb. bunch broccoli
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Combine water and garlic in a large saucepan, bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Trim off large leaves and tough ends of lower stalks of broccoli. Wash broccoli thoroughly and separate into spears. Add broccoli and salt to garlic mixture; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender. Drain well. Place broccoli in a serving dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cheese. Serves 6.
