GRANDMA'S DUMPLINGS 
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 slices bread with crust removed
1 tsp. nutmeg

Boil milk in small shallow fry pan, turn off heat. Add butter, salt, sugar and nutmeg. Add bread, stir until soaked. Add just enough flour so when it is stirred, it will pull away from pan. Stir (don't beat) in eggs. Drop by teaspoon into soup, they will float to the top when done.
