RED VELVET CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 oz. red cake coloring
1 tbsp. cocoa

Mix cake mix, eggs, buttermilk, cocoa and cake coloring with mixer. Stir in soda and vinegar. Bake in 3 pans at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water

Cook together until real thick, cool thoroughly.

1 c. butter or 2 sticks

1 c. sugar

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Combine with cornstarch mixture and beat until like whipping cream. Use nuts or coconut in frosting.
