CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CHIPPERS | |
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. cocoa 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) milk chocolate morsels. 2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) 1 c. chopped walnuts Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add combined flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt, mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered. 4 dozen. |
