BLACK WALNUT POUND CAKE | |
1 lb. confectioners' sugar 3/4 lb. butter or 2 sticks butter and 1 of butter 6 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. black walnut extract 1 or 2 c. chopped black walnuts 3 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour Cream butter and sugar until light. Add and beat in 1 egg at a time. Add flour, 1/3 at a time. Add vanilla and walnut extract. Fold in black walnuts. Flour and grease tube pan. Bake at 300 to 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. |
