APPLE CAKE 
4 c. peeled apples (pour 1 c. sugar over apples & let stand 3 hours)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. pecans

Combine all ingredients, except apples, in a big bowl. Add apples. Stir well. Put mixture in a large rectangular baking dish. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

APPLE CAKE GLAZE:

Combine 1 cup powdered sugar and 6 tablespoons water-lemon juice. Spread over the cake while hot.
