APPLE NUT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
3 eggs
3 c. unsifted plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. diced apples
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
2 tsp. vanilla

GLAZE FOR CAKE:

1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar

Blend oil and sugar. Add eggs and all dry ingredients except 1/2 cup flour. Add vanilla. Mix apples, pecans, raisins and coconut with 1/2 cup flour. Pour batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

For glaze: Boil all ingredients for 2 minutes. Pour over hot cake while still in the pan and let it stand overnight.
