FABULOUS STRAWBERRY MILE HIGH
PIE
 
2 c. frozen strawberries (16 to 20 oz.)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt
2 egg whites

Combine and beat for 20 minutes; that's right!

1 c. whipping cream
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat, NOT TOO STIFF, and fold into the first mixture. Freeze in the crust.

THE CRUST:

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour

Mix with pastry blender. Spread crumb mixture on jelly roll pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Crumble and press into a spring-form pan when cool. Reserve 1/2 for the topping.

A good dessert to prepare ahead. Never have any left to know how long it lasts in the freezer.
