HAM AND CHEESE POCKETS | |
1 (17 1/4 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry, room temperature Dijon mustard 6 oz. Swiss cheese, cut into 3 1/2 x 2 inch strips 6 oz. boiled ham, cut into 3 1/2 x 2 inch strips 1 egg, beaten Roll each sheet of puff pastry into a 12 inch square on a lightly floured board. Repeat with each sheet. Cut each square into 4 inch squares. Spread each square with mustard. Top half of each square with a slice of ham and cheese. Fold squares in half with long edges of ham strips. Moisten edges and press to seal with fork. Place pastries 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush lightly with egg. Pierce top of each pastry in several places with fork. Bake at 400 degrees until puffed and golden. 15 to 18 minutes. Serve hot. |
