BOILED CUSTARD 
6 egg yolks
1 qt. milk
2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla extract (this amount is correct)

Mix flour and sugar. Add part of milk and beat until smooth. Beat egg yolks and add rest of milk. Combine the two mixtures. Cook on low medium heat, stirring constantly until custard coats the spoon, or until thick as desired. Add vanilla extract. Refrigerate. Serve with pound cake or cookies, use as a topping for desserts or use in making banana pudding.
