BOILED CUSTARD 
8 eggs
1 gal. milk
2 1/2 c. sugar
Vanilla

Heat milk in heavy pot in a double boiler or large skillet filled with water. Beat eggs well. Add sugar slowly. Add egg mixture to milk in double boiler. Cook until thickened, strain. Chill and add vanilla. When time to serve, top with whipped cream.
