BOILED CUSTARD - A HOLIDAY FAVORITE | |
1/2 gal. milk 2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 8 eggs Heat milk on medium heat. Meanwhile, beat 8 egg yolks. Add sugar, flour and salt. Mix into the warm milk and let it cook while stirring constantly until thick. Beat egg whites until stiff. After custard has cooled a bit, stir in egg whites; chill and serve. |
