NORWEGIAN COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. water
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Mix butter, flour and water. Dough will be soft and sticky. Pat out into jelly roll pan.

Bring to boil the water and butter. Remove from heat and stir in flour. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly. Add flavoring. Spread on bottom layer. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until brown. Frost with powdered sugar.
