OVEN FRIED LIVER | |
2 lbs. sliced veal or calf liver 1 c. corn flake crumbs 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. butter, melted (oleo, if preferred) 2 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen fried onion rings 1/4 tsp. crushed marjoram 4 strips diced bacon Cut liver into serving sized pieces. Mix corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper together. Dip liver pieces in melted butter, roll in seasoned crumbs. Arrange liver slices and onion rings in single layer on baking sheet lined with foil. Sprinkle onion rings with marjoram, sprinkle liver slices with diced bacon. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until onions are crisp and liver slices are brown. Yields: 6 servings. |
