OVEN FRIES
4 baking potatoes
4 tsp. polyunsaturated oil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut potatoes into long French fried shapes. Cut in half lengthwise, lay the flat side down and cut long strips 1/4-1/2 inch wide. If you like very crisp potatoes, cut them thinner.

Drop potatoes into a bowl of cold water to avoid browning. When cutting is completed, drain the potatoes and blot dry; add oil and toss until well coated. Spray 2 or 3 large (9 x 13 inch) baking sheets with vegetable spray and spread potatoes on baking sheets. Sprinkle with garlic and onion powder. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove potatoes from oven, turn over and bake another 20-30 minutes or until crisp. Yield: 4 servings.
