HEARTY MEAT PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. ketchup
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp. pepper

Mix above ingredients thoroughly and pat into 9 inch glass pie plate. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and slice 1/4 inch thick 1 sweet Spanish onion. Separate into rings, about 3 cups. In a skillet with 2 tablespoons butter and 3/4 cup sliced, fresh mushrooms, saute onion rings until limp but not browned. Remove meat from oven. Drain off excess fat. Spread mushrooms and onions over meat. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese. Return to oven. Bake 15 minutes longer.
