FRESH SUGAR FROSTED FLOWERS OR GRAPES | |
For Flowers: 1 egg white, unbeaten 3 tbsp. sugar Sm. fresh flowers For Grapes: 1 egg white 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 lb. grapes For Flowers: Dip flowers into egg white, then dip into sugar. Let stand several minutes. Dip again into sugar. Refrigerate several hours or until set. Use as garnish on dessert or platters. Recipe is enough to make about 25 small flowers. Petals maybe eaten. For Grapes: In a small bowl, beat the egg white until it is frothy. In another small bowl mix sugar and cinnamon. Cut the bunches of grapes into small clusters. Dip grape clusters into egg white, shake off excess egg white and roll or sprinkle grapes in sugar mixture. Refrigerate on a rack until the coating is set or overnight. Decorate meat plates or desserts. Grapes can be eaten. |
