SAUCE MIX 
2 c. non-fat dry milk
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. instant chicken or beef bouillon
2 tbsp. dried onion
1/2 tsp. crushed thyme; optional
1/2 tsp. crushed basil; optional
1/8 tsp. garlic powder; optional
1/4 tsp. pepper

Blend all the ingredients well. Store in an airtight container.

To use: stir together 1/3 cup dry mix and 1 1/4 cup water. Stir and cook over medium heat until thickened.

NOTE: For a richer sauce, add one tablespoon of butter.
