OLD FASHION TEA CAKES 
1 c. melted crisco
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
flour, enough to make a stiff dough

Cream crisco and sugar. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Sift salt, baking powder and soda with 1 cup of flour, add to mix. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Roll out very thin. Cut out and bake at 350°F until golden brown.
