BAKED BEEF WITH CABBAGE 
2 lbs. minced beef
1 c. minced herbs
4 oz. cooking butter
1 clove garlic
2 med. sized onions, sliced
1/2 c. tomato ketchup
Salt and pepper
8 green and red peppers
2 lbs. white cabbage
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. sugar
Curly parsley

Saute garlic, minced herbs and sliced onions in butter until onions are pale yellow. Add minced beef, tossing to blend all ingredients evenly mixed. Cove rand stir occasionally. When liquid reduces, add tomato ketchup, sugar, salt, pepper to taste. Stir well. Cover and leave on reduced heat. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Correct seasoning and add green and red pepper. Remove from heat.

Wash cabbage and cut into small pieces. Pack into shallow oblong fire proof glass baking dish. Spread minced beef evenly over. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly. Bake in preheated oven at 350 or 400 degrees until crumbs are lightly brown. Serve garnished with sliced tomatoes and curly parsley.
