WILTED LETTUCE 
Break up 1 head lettuce in large bowl. Dice 6 to 8 green onions in bowl. Pour a scant 2/3 cup of vinegar into a 1 quart container - fill container with milk and set aside. Brown 5 or 6 strips of bacon cut into pieces. Add sour milk to bacon and bring to a boil. Add 6 beaten eggs, cook until thick. Pour over lettuce and toss. This makes a meal served in a bowl with bread and butter.
