WILTED LETTUCE SALAD 
2 bunches fresh garden lettuce
6 slices bacon, fine chopped
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
4 green onions
5-6 radishes
2 tbsp. vinegar

Wash lettuce leaves well; drain and tear into pieces. Put into salad bowl with chopped onions and radishes. Fry bacon crisp; drain. In bacon grease in skillet, add vinegar, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil and pour over lettuce. Toss lightly to coat leaves. Crumble bacon on top and serve immediately.

Good with white beans and cornbread.
