ICE BOX DESSERT 
1 can crushed pineapple
14 vanilla wafers (or more if desired)
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Nuts, if desired

Pour enough pineapple juice on cornstarch to dissolve. Add sugar and egg to pineapple and heat. When hot, add cornstarch and cook until thickened. Add nuts. Put in pan, first a layer of wafers, then pineapple, etc. Put in refrigerator. Serve with whipped cream.
