PINKY'S BEAN SOUP | |
1/2 lb. Great Northern beans 1/2 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 2 stalks celery, chopped 2 lb. pork neck bones or other ham for seasoning 2 cans stewed tomatoes 2 tbsp. brown sugar Wash beans, do not soak. Put in kettle with meat, onions and water to cover, plus 1 inch. Bring to boil, simmer for 2 hours. Add water to former level and rest of ingredients. Simmer over low heat for 1 more hour. |
