SESAME SEED COOKIES | |
6 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 12 tbsp. Crisco 1/2 c. milk 2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. sugar 2 beaten eggs 2 tsp. vanilla Sift all dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Cut in the shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until coarsely ground. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla in separate bowl; pour into dry ingredients. Knead well with your hands until blended. Take separate pieces and roll like a rope, flatten with fingertips, spread milk on top and sprinkle seeds. Cut into small pieces. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees until golden color. Let cool completely before removing from pan. Yield: approximately 5 dozen. |
